Take your time with the full payment:

• Deposit: 30% of the tour price directly after booking
• Final payment: 70% until 6 weeks before the trip
• Payment with PayPal / credit card or bank transfer

Your advantages as a group leader:

• Of course, you can pay for the whole yacht and settle it with your group afterwards.
• If you want, you can send each crew member an invitation link and everyone can pay for themselves.
• You can track your group's payments in the online area. 
• There you will also find other information material to download.

You organise your own arrival and departure:

• Before the tour, you will be in contact with your skipper and you can exchange information about the organisation of the journey.
• Tips on flights and, if required, accommodation before the cruise, as well as check-in and check-out times, can be found in each tour offer, at the bottom of the FAQs under "Arrival".
• Immediately after booking, you will receive the information sheet for the sailing tour with the most important key data.

If you join one of the JTC flotillas for a day or the entire trip, you’ll naturally follow the flotilla’s route. If you prefer to sail on your own, you can basically choose any route you like, as long as your skipper has no safety concerns (e.g., due to the current weather forecast). Since our skippers are very experienced and know the areas well, it’s definitely worth listening to their tips ;)

We reserve these yachts well in advance as part of our large-scale bookings, allowing us to offer you great prices. Online booking is especially interesting for groups who want to join our flotillas, as all yachts listed here are available on dates with JTC flotillas.

Request a Yacht
Through the individual request form on this page, you can enter all your preferences, such as sailing area, dates, yacht type, and flotilla participation. We’ll then find the perfect yacht with a JTC skipper for you.

All JTC skippers speak English.  Since they are experienced in sailing with different nationalities, communication is usually very easy. 

You’ll do your own shopping and cook on the boat or eat at local restaurants. Our shopping list (available in your online area after booking) can help with your first big grocery run, since shopping for 5–10 people for a week can be quite tricky. Along the way, your skipper can recommend good local restaurants.

Every yacht’s comprehensive insurance includes a deductible, called a “security deposit.” Depending on the yacht, this ranges from €1,000–€8,000. For all shared trips and most JTC group bookings, this deposit is limited to a maximum of €50 per person on a fully booked yacht through our so-called “deposit coverage.”

The exception is if you choose a yacht that isn’t from our main charter partner. In this case, the deposit will be blocked on your credit card, similar to renting a car, or you can book separate deposit insurance (please let us know when booking).

To avoid mixing solo travelers with large private groups on one boat, you can join a shared trip as a group of up to 4 people.

Larger groups can charter an entire sailing yacht and have their own yacht with a skipper just for themselves.

Sailing in a JTC flotilla is pretty awesome: you’ll immediately meet lots of friendly people, whether swimming in the bays or going out in the ports. If you’re looking for some quieter time just for yourselves, it’s better to choose your own route.

Joining JTC flotilla yachts is only possible for groups with participants aged 18–39.

Our yachts have between 3–8 cabins and accommodate 6–12 people. Since you should ideally reserve a cabin for the skipper, a yacht can host 4–10 participants. The most common yachts have 4–5 double cabins and sometimes a small skipper’s cabin.

If your group is larger, you can of course be accommodated on multiple yachts. Thanks to our pool of over 600 skippers and 20,000+ yachts, we can make almost any idea come true :-)
