Join The Crew gets you outdoors — on thoughtfully planned outdoor adventures with active people your age.

The saying “come as strangers, leave as friends” definitely applies here. JTC brings together people who share the same vibe, creating space for genuine, meaningful conversations and incredibly fun moments.

I came alone and, to be honest, I was a little worried that it might feel awkward. But within the first few minutes, it was clear: everyone is super open and relaxed. Conversations just happen naturally, without anything feeling forced.

Before my first JTC trip, I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know anyone and initially thought it might be a little weird. In the end, I didn’t want to go home at all!

What I liked most was how effortlessly everything was organized. No chaos, no awkward situations, no pressure. All you really had to do was show up, and you could immediately start having a great time.

I’m a JTC skipper, and for me, there’s nothing better than growing together with others and sharing special moments that turn a crew into a little family. Sailing and the dream of becoming a skipper have long since become more than just a passion for me — they’ve become an integral part of my life.

Yes, absolutely. Many people come to their first JTC weekend alone — that’s exactly what the concept is designed for. You simply book your event and meet active, open-minded people your age when you arrive. The atmosphere is relaxed, it’s easy to connect, and before long, you’ll realize: You’re not traveling alone — you’re part of the crew.
Your crew is a diverse mix of open-minded people between the ages of 20 and 39. Around 95% of our guests come solo — and that’s exactly how we like it. Within just a few hours, you’ll bond and grow together as a crew. Whether you’re coming alone or with friends, you’re in the right place here.
No. All our tours are manageable, even if it’s your first time exploring the outdoors. One thing we can promise: we never leave anyone behind. Depending on the weather and the crew’s mood, we may spontaneously adjust our routes.
You’ll find the detailed packing list in the description of each weekend under “Frequently Asked Questions.” As a general rule: outdoor clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, sturdy footwear — and, of course, good vibes!
Join The Crew is a community for people who love extraordinary outdoor experiences and would rather share them with exciting people than experience them alone. We organize unique adventures in small groups and unforgettable weekends — without the typical mass tourism.
We’ve been around since 2007. We started with sailing trips and later expanded into outdoor adventures. By now, around 60,000 young people from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland have traveled the world with us.
JTC Weekends give you the chance to experience our unique crew vibe in a smaller format.
