A day on Lake Chiemsee, new people around you, and a chance to escape the everyday routine: Together with your crew, you’ll sail across Bavaria’s largest lake, take the helm, and enjoy the day. Between panoramic Alpine views, a refreshing swim stop, and relaxed conversations, you’ll experience exactly what JTC Weekends are all about: a special plan for the weekend, being active together, and enjoying the moment.

In the crew chat, you can coordinate in advance with others to travel together by train or form a carpool. If you’re not starting directly from Munich, you can also join us at the starting point at Lake Chiemsee at 9:30 AM. We’ll also coordinate the exact meeting point in the crew chat.
As a sailing crew, we’ll spend the day together on the water.

At the dock, our JTC skippers will give us a quick briefing and explain everything we need to know. We’ll split up between the boats, and then it’s time to hoist the sails and cast off!

With the wind in our sails and the Alps on the horizon, we’ll sail across Bavaria’s largest lake and enjoy the day. Everyone is part of the crew and pitches in.

After our lunch break by the shore, we’ll head back out onto the water and stop at the lake’s most turquoise bay for a swim with breathtaking views of the Alps.

An active day on the lake is exactly what we need to feel completely relaxed. Together, we’ll head back to Munich at around 5:00 PM, taking home the memories of a special Saturday. We’re scheduled to arrive at Munich Central Station at around 7:00 PM.
For our sailing day on Lake Chiemsee, we’ve chosen modern 32-foot sailboats. They’re perfect for everything from relaxed daysailing to more sporty sailing, while also offering plenty of space in the cockpit.

Active, open-minded people your age, a relaxed atmosphere, and a vibe that quickly feels natural — whether you’re traveling solo or with friends.

No, not at all. Our JTC skippers will take care of steering and explain everything you need to know. If you’d like to get involved and take the helm yourself, you’ll have the opportunity to do so.
Absolutely, if you’d like to! Our skippers will be happy to show you the basics. You don’t have to — but you’ll want to.
You can find the detailed packing list here. The essentials: sun protection, a light jacket for the wind on the water, swimwear, and shoes you don’t mind getting wet.
Light rain or wind won’t stop us from sailing — it’s all part of the experience. Our skippers keep an eye on the weather and will decide on the day what’s possible. In case of severe weather, we’ll find a solution together.
