Selected hikes paired with exciting activities that you shouldn't miss.
We stay in a cozy accommodation nestled in nature. Here we can relax, cook, and laugh together.
We have a skeleton plan of the absolute must-do activities fixed in our schedule, and the rest we'll decide on the tour, in the moment, based on the crew's mood and preferences.
Relaxed cooking or a wild card game in the evening – these magical crew moments make our trips so special.
Who joins these trips? Usually, we have relaxed, open-minded people aged 20 to 39. About 80% of travelers are young professionals between 27 and 33 years old. The gender ratio usually balances out.
Please understand that we can't provide detailed information about other participants before you book.
On the first day of the tour, we discuss together as a crew how to best assign the rooms. Most participants are solo travelers and share a double room with another traveler.
We aim for same-gender occupancy in all our tours.
The crew shopping is always an experience. When else do you buy groceries for a large group for a week?
In the crew chat before the tour, we discuss what we'd like to cook during our week, breakfast preferences, and any special dietary needs.
For some tours, we can also discuss this directly before shopping on the first day of the tour.
Our JTC guide coordinates the shopping and provides tips.
In your crew area, you'll find the JTC shopping list. This gives us a good idea of the quantities.
It's always possible to buy additional groceries during the week.
To make packing as pleasant as possible, we've put together some sample packing lists for you. You can find all the packing lists for all the different tours here.
You don't need any special equipment. The equipment for water sports activities or via ferrata is provided by our outdoor sports partners, and for other activities, you just need regular hiking and sports clothing.
Your guide will also provide packing tips in the crew chat.
Our Outdoor Mix tours are designed for everyone but vary in difficulty depending on the specific tour. Each tour description includes details about the difficulty level and specific requirements. Please consider these when deciding on a tour.
For all tours, you should have an average level of fitness and be sure-footed while hiking.
No. Naturally, you will likely choose your tour based on the included and optional activities. However, if you're unable or prefer not to participate in a particular activity, that's not a problem.
If you know in advance at the time of booking, inform your guide in the crew chat.
While the rest of the crew is engaged in the activity, you can either enjoy some "me-time" or your guide can suggest alternative activities for you.
Please note that we cannot reduce the tour price if you choose not to participate in included activities.
No, during all Outdoor Mix tours, we spend the entire week in holiday accommodation exclusively used by our crew. If multiple accommodations are available for a given date, you can select the one that suits you best at the time of booking.
