Imagine sailing through the Mediterranean at 9 knots, when a fellow crew member spots the perfect bay for the evening, and the skipper sets the course. As you approach the shore, you're shocked: trash on the beach!

Sadly, this is happening more often, which is why we at Join The Crew, together with Dream Yacht Charter, are launching the Sail & Clean initiative for the fifth time. Our goal is simple: we want to give young people the chance to contribute directly to the protection of our favorite beaches and raise awareness of this problem.

Let’s make a difference!

For one week, we’ll sail on a spacious yacht (sponsored by our partner Dream Yacht Charter – thanks!) from beach to beach, collecting trash every afternoon. The rest of the day, of course, will be dedicated to the typical JTC lifestyle.

We chose the Peloponnese for this action because we've had a strong presence there for many years. If you'd like to learn more about the sailing area, feel free to check out the tour description on our website. We'll meet on 09.11.2024 in Athens, and from there, embark on our one-week adventure. The exact destinations, activities, and balance between “sail” and “clean” will be decided together on board (but don’t worry, there will definitely be plenty of time to relax).

What’s the prize?

A berth worth €740 on a sailing yacht from 09.11.2024 to 16.11.2024 departing from Athens. Travel expenses and crew cashbox are not included.

What will we do?

It’s essentially a typical JTC sailing trip, with the added mission of spending a little time each day collecting trash on the beaches.

Terms and Conditions for the “Sail & Clean” Contest

1. Subject of Terms
(1) These terms govern participation in our "Sail & Clean" contest.

(4) This contest is in no way affiliated with Facebook or Instagram. The organization is solely our responsibility. Facebook does not sponsor or endorse this contest.
(5) By participating in this contest, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Organizer
(1) The organizer of this contest is Join The Crew Sp. z o.o., Hubska 44-48, 50-502 Wroclaw, Poland.

3. Participation
(1) All persons aged 18 or older are eligible to participate.
(2) Participants must be capable of taking part in a sailing trip without any restrictions.
(3) Employees of Join The Crew, its affiliates, and their family members are excluded from participation.
(4) Participation on behalf of third parties is not permitted.
(5) To participate, follow our Instagram profile and tag a person in the contest post.
(6) The deadline for participation is 06.10.2024, 23:59 CET.
(7) Each person may only participate once.

4. Prize
(1) Among all eligible participants, we are giving away a total of 8 spots on our “Sail & Clean” trip, from 09.11.2024 to 16.11.2024 in the Peloponnese sailing area, departing from Athens, Marina Alimos (Kalamaki), Greece.
(2) The prize covers only the sailing trip itself.
(3) Participants are responsible for their travel to/from Athens, as well as on-site expenses for food, harbor fees, and fuel (crew kitty).
(4) There is no minimum number of participants for the sailing trip.
(5) Four male and four female winners will be selected randomly.
(6) The contest period is from 27.09.2024 to 06.10.2024, 23:59 CET.
(7) Winners will be announced on 08.10.2024 and notified via Instagram DM.
(8) Winners have seven days to register for the trip via our website after receiving the DM.
(9) If the winner fails to register within this period, the prize will be forfeited and offered to the next eligible participant.
(10) The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
(11) The organizer reserves the right to replace the yacht with another yacht for reasons beyond its control.

5. Liability
(1) The organizer is not liable for any legal violations or claims from third parties.
(2) Participants indemnify the organizer against claims resulting from unlawful use of the prize.
(3) By participating, you release Facebook from any liability.

6. Exclusion
(1) Participants who violate these terms may be excluded from the contest.

7. Early Termination
We reserve the right to end the contest prematurely for technical or legal reasons.

8. Data Protection
(1) The organizer is the data controller for the participants' personal data.
(2) Data will only be used in connection with the contest.
(3) By participating, you agree to the use of your data for this purpose.

9. Applicable Law
German law applies.

10. Final Provisions
(1) If any part of these terms is invalid, the remaining terms remain unaffected.
(2) Legal recourse is excluded.
